VITAL AVIATION/VANCOUVER ISLAND UNIVERSITY

PILOT GROUND SCHOOL

NEXT COURSE: Ground School begins 30 April, 2012.

INSTRUCTORS: Class 1 Flying Instructors of Vital Aviation Ltd.

PLACE: Room 243, Building 370, Vancouver Island University, 5th Ave, Nanaimo. (room and building numbers may change, please confirm closer to starting date)

TIME: 7 to 10 pm Mondays and Thursdays for approximately six weeks.

ELIGIBILITY: Anyone can attend this class and there are no pre-entry educational requirements; however, you should have a good general education, preferably to Grade 12, and have above average reading and arithmetic skills. If you are planning to take the flying curriculum separately, you will need to have normal good health to pass a Transport Canada pilot medical examination.

COST: $400.

BOOKS & EQUIPMENT: Full illustrated material and note pages will be supplied. The basic text book "From the Ground Up" may be purchased on the first evening of the course for $36 plus tax. Other supplies and equipment will vary according to student needs. This will be discussed on the first night.

Warning: Although Vital Aviation's instructors are employed to teach this course on behalf of Vancouver Island University, the flight training is a separate program. For subsequent flight training, students must meet Vital's independent acceptance requirements. Please make sure that you have discussed the details of flight training acceptance with Vital prior to ground school registration.
